From Jessica: The new year is the perfect time to refresh your home. The color trends for 2017 are taking a minimal approach, inspired by nature. While neutral hues have always been in style, they will show up in a richer way—with unexpected combinations. Start with paint as the obvious way to incorporate these new colors; follow with accessories, fabrics and finishes!
Look in the mirror for inspiration on paint and fabrics this year. Shades that remind us of lipstick, eyeshadow, bronzers and blushes are showing up in a big way.
Think Joshua Tree. Palettes of dusty yellows, burnt oranges and pale greens will have you dreaming of a Palm Springs getaway.
Greens and pinks
“Green and pink” is the new “blue and pink.” This killer combo debuts in a pale iteration, with the pink appearing as almost nude.
Only used primarily as an accent last year, dark colors will play a more prominent role in 2017. We will see more dusty dark colors contrasted against each other. Try a noir vase on an equally dark shelf.
A bit more beige
The muted tone definitely had its moment in 2016, but this year it becomes less grey and more skin-tone.
